My buddy had a 4.3 and it couldnt keep up with my 4.0 ranger...I would call my truck quick at most...these s-10s are far from fast.

Guess this kind of hate should be expected on a Ranger forum but I fricken love s10's Buddy of mine had an Xtreme and that thing was thrashed all to hell but never missed a lick. I can't count how many times the headers where cherry red while cutting donuts on a dime. Not to mention how it handle the Dragons Tail

I gotta agree the four bangers are shit sisters bf had one and it dropped a valve while on the way to autozone (60or70,000 on it!)

I got a friend who owns a 2003 and he's had it since then! It has 327k miles on it and still runs smooth and sounds great. My dad owned a 1993 S10 and it had 510k miles on it and it finally quit.

I can't show proof... I don't know where the 1993 S10 is. Mike still drives his S10 Xtreme, I'll take a picture of his miles next time I see him in town. I don't lie people. lol. I prefer Ford way over Chevy. But those S10's are nice.

on the same, never rebuilt engine/trans? Thats got to be some sort of record for a non v8 chevy.

My dad's S10 had nothing done to it besides he changed the oil every 1k miles. My friend S10 Xtreme has a lot of mods done to it... a lot. lol.

I just cant believe it...Not trying to call you a liar...but with the chevys Ive seen...that would be like someone trying to tell me elephants run wild in Kansas.
