Default Almost new vehicle time.

Hey guys, its almost new, well "different" vehicle time for me. I was wondering what you guys would suggest for a 17 year old who likes to go out the mountain with his friends. I only will have around 5-6000 dollars for a different vehicle. Does it make sense to go from a 1998 Ranger with 153,000 miles to a 1995 chevy tahoe like this?

It only have 55,000 miles..or what would you guys suggest, I need a bigger vehicle so lets hear your opinions.

Personally, i'd consider mid-size trucks before full-size if my wallet was limited to 6k.

Those V8s drink a lot more than our V6s.

well right now im getting 15 miles to the gallon and i can afford it so gas isnt gonna be a problem. And I do like those explorers but for some reason I dont want another ford. I really love the look of those tahoes or suburban. idk yet. Its a hard decision
