The whole time he was campaining all i heard from people around me was how much they hated him but from the news it was how great he was. i dont think him getting elected was a mistake. it was planed. theres a big picture here that is being missed. the last few president have mentiond a "NEW WORLD ORDER" well this is what they were taking about.

I do not agree with building it at all.
It's a slap in the face of every Man and Woman that died on 9-11 and those who are serving/have served in the armed forces. It's a dirty shame that this is even considered. Giving them a place of worship within 3000 miles of the land they attacked. But, then again what do i know, i think the Arizona immigration laws were a great idea and i think we should have lesser firearm restrictions. And people say teenagers don't care about society, lol

on topic, let them build it.. y'all are all forgetting the fact that the majority of this nation is anti muslim. therefore it wont be long after completion of that horrid mosque that some christian extremist group bombs it. and i say let them, hope they take a few out with them.. gets us a little closer to settling the score.

so youre saying anyone here who is muslim is automatically guilty of supporting the WTC attacks and they should be exempt from the 1st Amendment and killed instead huh. Even if theyre American. Good job. That's like saying every Christian here is guilty of supporting the Crusades. Yeah, killing every muslim american will solve all our problems.

I think having the mosque there is a bad idea too but this statement of yours is just plain ignorant.

shut it hippy. do you think they thought about our rights before they flew planes into our buildings, killing innocent americans and destroying families? then obummer wants to build a mosque where it happened? he might as well spit in everyones face that was affected by 9/11. You are absolutely right. They have every right under the constitution to build a mosque wherever they want. But, at the end of the day, that ain't the issue. It's the moral and ethical position that is under fire not the legality. If the sheik is in fact wanting to build this as he says, to bridge the gap between muslims and Americans and to help create peace and harmony and whatever else he's said, then why would he still want to build this thing right there with all the turmoil that it has caused. Is the intent not already marred by the reaction of the mere thought that they want to build a "trophy" right down the street from their battleground?

To address something earlier: No construction company in the US will build this mosque. They won't touch it. If they do, it'll be their last project. Who would want to hire the company that built a mosque in the shadow of the WTC to build their church or community center, or business???
