Default need help with my investigation..

my sister brought his ford focus 2002 se on a shop for the rear brakes, she said she only saw the brake shoes, not the wheel cylinder,but still charge her 320 dollars including tax, i did some digging, and looked for my self.

This is where you guys coming in, basing on this pictures could you say the wheel cylinder is replaced?

Looks original to me Id go back to the shop and raise hell, go to an autoparts store and see if they have a cylinder in stock if so ask to see it and compare to your pics and you'll more than likely see your sis got screwed

Your sister was taken. That wheel cylinder is as old as the rest of the brake hardware, which is probably as old as the car... Look at the attachment bolts for the cylinder, they haven't been removed, and the bleeder is corroded to the cylinder. I say FAIL! And if they replaced the brake shoes, why are the leading and trailing shoes so different in the wear on them? That picture doesn't look right to me, how long ago where the shoes supposed to be replaced??

anyways, this happened two months ago, she happened to pass by my house and ask me to look at it, would that time frame, is the condition of the brakes is reasonable?

It shouldn't look anything like that i replaced mine two months ago and it is still shiny
