Default Could this be the Ranger's new competition?

http://www.mahindrana.com/indian-cars-and-trucks.html
I know it's ugly, to a point, but it's got the full 4 doors, diesel, and 4wd.

Let the pros and cons begin...

Hate to say it, but when they come to the states as a production model I'm going to take a first hand look. As stated in the spec. sheet, it has everything stock that I've basically done to my Ranger.
Never had any dealings with a Mahindra tractor, but there is a dealer here in Alabama that sells the heck out of them. It's an India based company, technology over there is growing exponentially. Can they have a viable market for these trucks in the US?

Maybe, but it looks like a tiny truck, and I think thats why the ranger is slowing sales so much.

Didn't really look at wheel base, I'll be honest. If it's a legitimate compact, Ranger size, I think you'll see a fair number of them on the road due to the diesel.

Man, I'm a diehard Ford driver myself. Gotta look into it though, if I only look. That diesel engine really is a selling point to me.

I would like to see a real picture of that Truck... the design they show on the site makes it looks like when you resize an image the wrong way and squish everything in the picture.

Yep, I agree. The more I look at it the more it looks like a cross between a Benz SUV, a 4 door Tacoma, and a Land Rover L4 (I think that's the model #).

the interior looks chevy to me, but i think the 4 door looks a bit better than the single cab. maybe if it was leveled out with some bigger tires
