Random Act of Kindness Thread
It's always nice to hear about things other people have for some one.
So I'm just throwing this out there.
This is my story.
A friend of my wife's, recently divorced with two children needed some minor construction work done at her house.
Her exterior door to the patio had rotted out, so it needed replaced and she needed some white boards hung.
My wife volunteered me to help. I've done some construction but not a lot. So it's a learning experience.
It's just nice to see her appreciative of some one willing to help her.
Any one of your done a random act of kindness lately, share your story.

Re: Random Act of Kindness Thread
I ve bought my son in law a truck so he could go back to work over a year ago. The truck cost $2500 and the repairs cost almost another $1000 , The deal was he would pay me back $50 a week and he hasnt made the payments steadilly and owes me almost half of it . The kindness comes in because the piece of garbage is still breathing

I had a similar deal with my dad. He loaned me the money to buy my 1st car and I Paid him back over a year. ( I was living at home paying college debt too). After a year I paid it back to him.

One thing I've learned from my dad and my uncle who displays this so evidently is that doing things for people or our neighbors is a good character to have and it's fun.
I wasn't expecting any type of payment, I was just glad to help her. She gave me two gifts cards, one to Lowes, and another to Walmart (that one is going straight to groceries, guess I'm too practical).

Re: Random Act of Kindness Thread
If I do something for someone I dont expect them to do something in return
Same goes with money I give money to the person with the idea they will not repay it back.
I try to do something for someone everyday. At work I will cover the cost of some items on the engine. I also dont round up the labor time for farmers.

I agree. I've "lost" a lot of money in my few short 36 years. A principal my uncle taught me years ago!

Re: Random Act of Kindness Thread
I hit a pedestrian one day. I consider it a act of kindness. Their husband went to jail for warrants. So I took a criminal off the street.

That's too bad. I just threw this thread out for the fun of it.
Some times it's nice to hear good stories about what people have done or what some one has done for you.
I know I've been blessed by many people through out my life, if it weren't for a "well to do relative," I probably would have come out of college owing more money then I did.
