Default Picked this up yesterday.

Found this on craigslist for free. Was an hour drive, had to drag it out of an over grown lot, change a tire and air up the rest, but was so worth it. It's somewhere around 18 to 20 ft. The frame is from an old travel trailer, so it's plenty strong. It pulled great even in the rough shape it's in. The floor is good, so I'm just gonna tear off the wooden sides and weld on some steel sides, and make some fenders strong enough to drive over. Should make a pretty decent trailer.

The floor is weathered but actually still very solid, no holes or rot in it. the wood on the sides has to go though. Gonna need some new tires too, and some paint on the wheels.

Yeah, but even with having to replace some stuff and fix some stuff, you'll still come out ahead. Just don't advertise you got it too much, or folks will be lining up asking you to move their crap.

Good deal though. You really can't beat free...

So, what are your plans for it, keep it as a plain trailer?

Or "mod" it?

Gonna need more work than I thought, but still not too bad. Started tearing off the sides over the weekend and noticed that the floor was rotting in some areas and was not anchored to the frame properly in some areas. So I said screw it, and tore it down to the bare frame. I plan on Making it a car/ truck trailer, so I figured it would be best to have a good floor in it. I'm gonna have to add some braces for support in the rear, and am going to weld some really short sides on it. Just tall enough to wrap a strap around. The fenders are going to be steel and braced strong enough to be driven over because the width between them is only 5 ft wide. Also am going to mount a reciever tube to the front so a winch can be added when needed. Should get most of the welding done this weekend.
