Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
I think the future is going to be electric. But it isn't going to be easy. One of the things people need to get away from is thinking their electric vehicle is some magical zero emissions beast. You SHIFTED the emissions to the electric generation plant. Unless it or you uses 100% solar or wind generation, emissions are still there.
When the first Tesla Roadsters came out I saw on in a parking lot. Was hilarious because they were checking out my bike, was riding my bobber that day, while I checked out their car. Was a little weird, that acceleration, and the only sound it made was the tires on the road...

Yep, and the issue with solar is that it does not generate during peak hours as well as we do not have a way to store said energy. Plus our current infrastructure is not set up to go 100% electric vehicles. It will be interesting to see what happens in Germany and Norway when their mandates for 100% electric cars happens around 2030.

Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
Shit 200 mile range on an ebike? My last tank on the Harley was 75 miles. Granted, I was romping the fuck out of it. 7k rpm shooting fireballs out of the exhaust. If I drive normal I can get about 150.
----------
Wifes equinox is insane though. Last tank was 612 miles out of 13 gallons. Yay diesel.

My last tank on my Harley was around 150 miles, but mine also has an aftermarket fuel gauge and I don’t think it’s accurate.

The teslas are nasty. I actually work at a driving simulator so I get to drive a tesla pretty often. Model S P75D. Thing is wicked fast, but the most fun I have with is adjusting the ride height. Lol

Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
Both my Hondas have about a 4 gallon tank, the new one I'm averaging over 40 MPGs.
An e-bike would work for me around town sure but it wouldn't work for me on the weekends.

Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
Its a 3.3 gallon tank, but thats not counting the massive amount of space taken up by the fuel pump. That thing is huge, was interesting finagaling it out of the tank when I swapped the sending unit out. When its bone dry and I fill it to the brim it takes about 2.5 gallons. I cant complain I guess gets the same mileage as the 883 but has gobs more power being a 1200.
