Need a new steering wheel for the Z. It’s got HIV from its life as a corporate rental.

I thought I would regret buying a rental Camaro, but it's done great so far. I'd probably do it again I saved so much money

Nice my mom had a 1970 Maverick when I was a kid. Wasn’t a bad car.

I didn’t even know your Camaro was one of those too.
I had some dumb issues, but honestly, i enjoyed the process. Buying ex-rental sports cars to use for builds is underrated. I will probably do it again.
I knew I was getting new tires and seats for whatever I bought, that helped me do it.
Had to get a slightly bent rim fixed. Curb rash on the bottom got sanded and covered when I did the vinyl accents around the bottom.
Some exterior issues that I don’t really care about because I use it as a daily.

Did you see my post a while back when you popped on of all the things I've done to the Camaro?

I’m seriously amazed you did the same thing I did and I had no idea. More people need to own at least one ex-rental sports car.

Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
One brother just bought a V6 Genesis and thinks he's faster than me and my other brother with the GT.
I want to go to the track, the brother with the Genesis wants to go to a Dyno day, and my brother with the GT doesn't want to do anything.

How much further do you plan on taking it,
Ported everything, street cam, and some suspension? That’s probably as far as I’d go past where you’re at.

Definitely a cam, maybe heads. I do plan on a full Cat-Back system. Maybe some suspension work if I actually get the horsepower up, it does very well right now. If I get that far I'll be happy for a while.

They tried to hide that the Z was a rental. I didn’t give a shit because I was building anyway. Just take some extra money off, and we’re good.

Does the Genesis brother know how random and inaccurate Dyno’s are. And also, what is he expecting to see from the Genesis?

I found out for myself but they put it on the lift and let me look everything over. It's not perfect but everything was nice and tight and clean. Paid $24k for a $40k 1 year old car

He's the type that thinks he added a hundred horsepower from shorty headers and a muffler
