Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
Ford is coming out with a new "1LE like" Mustang, but still doesn't even come with coolers. Says if you if you're going to take it to the track to install coolers, fire anyone? yet installing the coolers will probably void any warranty

I would agree that it probably voids any associated warranties. I haven’t done the price breakdown yet on that package. I’m not buying anyways.

I'd still take a Camaro over it. I'm pretty much done with Ford... the F-150 experience left me with a bad taste

I’m still totally undecided on 6th gen Camaro vs Mustang . The Camaro they gave me was $47,000 with brembo package, Mag Dampers, NPP, and the way too lightly geared auto. It was fast AF but lost the hoon qualities. Even on terrible pavement it didn’t want to break traction. Can’t compare that to my Mustang that wasn’t even close to that spec, and everything I didn’t like on it was replaced with aftermarket parts.
What I can compare, is the mustang seems to have more usable cabin space and visibility, so it’s made a great road trip car.
I don’t like the manuals in the mustang, but loved the 6-speed auto with paddles.
Opposite with Camaro, I hate the gearing on their auto, and the feeling of their paddles. Only manual + LT1 I’ve driven is on the Corvette, not sure if that’s the same gearbox. But that felt glorious.
----------
Price on that Grand Sport is great. I’d want to switch to the level up aero package.

Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
I haven't driven enough Mustangs to compare, but it's easy for me to see that the Camaro is definitely the better car as far as what matters to me.
The visibility was crazy compared to the SRT, but I got used to it immediately and I see fine. You weren't doing something right because the Camaro brakes traction easily.
In fact the $500 tires I put on my car this year are already half gone
----------
My brother has a 2014 GT, so still has the solid axle. My car impresses the shit out of him and he says he can't believe how well it's planted. I let him drive mine once and kept egging him on to push it haha
Might have been slightly under the influence
----------
I came home from my brothers one night and did a hell of a burnout. Went back the next day out of curiosity and I was fucking impressed with myself

Re: FRF Watercooler/BS Thread 2017
Trust me, that 6th gen with Mag Dampers and the Auto was not losing grip unless you forced it.
That’s more of a testament to the witchcraft of Mag Dampers, and how terribly geared that automatic is. If you get time, go drive one. I’d have to either swap the rear gear on one, or just go with that buttery smooth manual that has much better ratios and flexibility.
----------
I like brute force on these cars. If I can’t shove it around just rolling on throttle in first gear, it loses a lot of what I enjoy about them.

the 15+'s are a completely different car. I really am not a fan of the older ones, but then again I'm biased lol

ended up putting an offer in on a short sale up here. Smaller townhouse, only 2 bedrooms but 2.5 bath, finished basement, garage and fireplace. 235k and it needed a lot of work. Got word back that it will probably be a long ass process (took the bank 7 months to approve the asking price) so I think I'm going to withdraw it.
