Who said toll roads? But yes it is different. Even if it were toll roads, pay per use or a subscription based service is substantially different than forcing me to pay to register a vehicle I already own.

Guess Massachusetts is implementing a new strict vehicle inspection process with video camera recordings of the inspection. I had a difficult time getting inspected before the new procedure with all the mods on the truck....

Why would it fail inspection?

Northeast has very strict lift laws and allowable vehicle modification s. I know he had to have his buddy pass it when he first bought it.....

Yeah RI is now filming part of the inspections, so it's very difficult to get a vehicle to pass if you've done some illegal mods unless you have a vehicle that has a gvwr of 8,501-26,000lbs. Vehicles in that weight 'class' don't have an emissions inspection, they only have a safety inspection. Since only the emissions part of the inspection is filmed, you can easily get a sticker for a vehicle if you know someone. Of course if you use the vehicle for commercial use you run the risk of getting caught because DOT does random vehicle inspections at times.

NCs pretty lenient. I don't remember them specifying any bumper height laws or anything about tire poke. We're supposed to check the aim of the headlights when we inspect them but if I pull it in and they're level I consider that good. Haven't had a squatted vehicle come in yet thankfully.
