Nothing in their contract that says what they can and can't do during the anthem.

Your comparison is weak. They aren't taking a knee while they're playing.

Still a private business. Anyone can technically do whatever they want but they have to face the consequences and if the owner tells you what he expects and you defy that. You need to be ready to hit the road.

But what each owner expects needs to be clear beforehand.

Exactly. As a private business, they entered into contracts with those players. To an extent, their actions ARE governed by that contract, both on and off the field. I would have no issue with them putting that into any future contracts, but as it stands, both sides are bound to the existing contract. No more, no less.

Miek gets it. The country is worked up over some douche kneeling during a song, but no one is outraged that we are 20 trillion in debt?

Good. My son is heading into his wedding about a month, and trying to buy a house around the end of the year. Busy. It was tough when he was on the road, but his Mrs said no traveling until the wedding. Then I may be moving in with my Dad after the first of the year. Paid the bike off. Biggest payment is mortgage which I loose if I move.

How about you? How is the new work? Still fun?

As for all this football bullshit, I don't care what they do. It's basically off the clock. Once football starts, they are playing. I really don't want to go down the route of telling people what they can say in their 'break time', bad law, bad precedent.

And yes Billy is a racist piece of shit, but not because of his NFL views, it's because he thinks 'all them little black boys would be runnin da streets if they wasn't playin football'...

EDIT: post deleted. I'm not going to lower my standards to one of Americas and FRF's worst. I'm much better than that (thank God). As for the guy that hates America, well, freedom of speech comes with a cost.

Only on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Got the new passenger seat for the Z put together. Not quite sure if the passenger occupancy sensor is going to work how I have it mounted. It’s just 8 contact points across circuit paper, that was previously below the fabric on the old passenger seat.

I just sandiwiched it between cardboard and slid it under the bottom spring panel of the new one.

There is probably some wording in their current contract that lawyers could use to defend the actions of an owner that fired a player for kneeling.

A personal conduct or defamation clause. Something.

That's good. Work is still fun but it's a lot of work. 6 hrs today and I'll be on overtime. I'm ready to be done with school so I can get back to work full time.

Then they could fire them if they thought it would hold up in court. Unlikely though.

Too late. You've already proven you're one of the lowest of the low, by judging people based on something beyond their control.

Why does everyone assume you hate America if you hate the government? I've got news for you, you government worshipping douche. America is too good for this government.

No one has come out with a firm stance yet except Jerry Jones and he said they wouldn't play for that game.

Now with the NFL changing their viewpoint on it (because the negativity is hurting their bottom line), the other owners will start making their expectations clear of what they consider acceptable or not.

When someone defies that repeatedly, then we will see the possibility of them getting fired and a legal battle if the player is under contract. If he isn't under a guaranteed money contract then they can tell them bye at anytime anyway.

I'm almost certain that if a player is under contract and has millions in guaranteed money coming to him with millions more available as a bonus he will not go against the owners wishes once they are made clear.

I heard a story about that this morning. Apparently it's becoming pretty common as the sunroofs get bigger

The only way I see this playing out is that some players won't be picked up again once their contract expires. Outside of that, I see nothing they can legally do.

That's great lmfao!! It's been forever since I've been on here. Still got some big plans for the little Mazda. In recent news, I just got sworn in with my local police department and am a sworn officer.
