Because im a little fellow and the truck fits me best. Generally the cab feels the same from around 88 to probably 05 is the newest one ive been in. I like the feeling of driving one. Should i gaon abput 50 pounds id probably change my mind.

What's not to like about my truck,nothing, It fits my needs perfectly and paid for. Parts galore, if needed,decent gas mileage,inexpensive to maintain,skilled mechanics everywhere,grocery getter,haul about anything,fits my small garage,decent power with the 4:10's,attention getter,handles well,plenty of room for the wife,doggy and myself.I can return to this thread and add more, as I think about it...

i appreciate the low cost mileage! initial purchase price, the taxes/registration, insurance, gas bill, maintenance, tires, etc... everything has been pretty much minimal with this truck! also, i'm struggling to find a time it left me stranded when it wasn't my own fault lol

It's paid for, stone cold reliable, does everything I need.

It's paid for.I think the 06+ rangers are the best design,they ever came up with.
I don't have other things to worry about,daughter's grown up,NO nasty x-wife.
So I spend a lot time detailing,under hood maintence,I'm pretty much by self.
I don't mind keeping up on every thing.Hopefully this truck will last me ,many,many,years.
There are other things I need to mention.

It's paid for and does just about everything I need it to do. Some of the stuff I want to do on it, I would have to do on another truck as well because vehicles are being built to meet a certain over all company fuel economy rating instead of what is actually best for what the vehicle is intended to be used for. I can't tell you the last new truck that offered something lower than 3.73 gearing. 2010, maybe?

EDIT: Forgot to mention the price and reliability. At the time, it was the best deal out there, and the reliability is just as good or better than the competition. Hell, I just looked at the reliability ratings of the competition recently and most have gone into the tank. Disappointing.

I liked my ranger because it was tough, simple to fix but rarely needed repairs, fun to drive, and did everything I asked. I like my F150 because it's bigger, way more power, roomie engine bay, good mileage, hauls every tool I own, and it's comfortable to sleep in.

The lower body is less wind resistance. I had some moments in vans of being afraid a side wind would knock me over. And it's the best looking generation of Ranger, a narrow window between kinda ugly and more ugly.

It's a great lawn ornament.
