Like the title says was looking at a 97 exployer. With the 4.0 loaded everything works no rust anywhere. Was wondering any issues with this yr of SUV. It only has 86,000 miles on it. When I first saw this thing i thought it was a 2000 something. Plus the tranny was just rebuilt. 4x4 works. Took for a spin no issues with the test drive. Only thing i seen was its going to need tires before the next inspection. So any input would be greatly appreciated thx....

Fred, if it has the lower body trim on the rocker panels check behind the trim. Last year my wife & I purchased a 99 Explorer Sport in eastern Pa with only 84,000 mi & both of the rear sections of the rocker panels were rusted out. I did not care because I knew I could fix them.
