That is a shower valve but I believe that valve is for tub only or shower only not both

He is. I've looked through my pictures but unfortunately I don't have a close up of the valve. I'm bummed because I wish I would have tested it myself instead of taking other people's word for it

Ha, we used to have only beer/wine in grocery stores, then along came Costco and a ballot initiative that passed (I proudly supported it) and now, like Kali and other states, we can buy hard liquor in grocery and other stores. No longer is the biggest drug dealer in the state of WA ........the state gov't itself . 
* I'm waiting for the self serv weed machines, sorta like there once used to be cig machines all over the place. Remove the labor and the storefront, up goes profit.
