I'd recommend not getting caught up in daily/weekly weight updates. Long and slow is good. I'm down 75lbs, but over about 2 years, and the last 25 has been over about 7-8 months. Right now I am probably within 5lbs of my ideal weight, and the lightest I have been in, I don't know, maybe 20 years. I was wearing 36" waist pants, thinking I was going to have to step up. Now, I am in 32", thinking they might be just a bit loose...

man i tell ya, if i could do without the scale i would. I simply cannot be trusted without something keeping me in check. i will unconsciously get into a rhythm of overeating until i'm up 40 lbs without even knowing it. and that's eating healthy foods too, just too much of it! and i have to have a goal set lol, i'm one of those wierdo types haha!

Looks good! You ever deal with any of the newer synthetic decking? Some of them claim not to get as hot as they used to in the sun. Not sure what I want to rebuild my back deck out of

i was at 250. Just years of creep, slowing down with age and not noticing. The pant size caught my attention, and so did my a1c number. That is what the 'diabetic' diagnosis is based on. I went to pre-diabetic, then into diabetic. I refused to take more pills or shots without controlling it if possible. Now a1c is in the 'normal' range. I'm at 175, maybe 170 is ideal, but at 52, I am pretty happy with it.

Naw man update away. I am not the type to complain about seeing something that bugs me, I'd just move on. That was just a poor attempt at advice. Normally I try to stay away from advice...

No not really. I like the idea in theory, maintenance sucks, but I have no experience with how it holds up or it getting hot...

When the stuff first hit the market, it would get really hot in the sun, but not having to stain or worry about rot was great.
If I had the cash I would redo it in ipe, love that stuff

My grandfather used some sort of artificial stuff on his deck and it stayed relatively cool in the summer

I tore out my Uncle's deck at his river house because the supports underneath rotted. But the actual deck boards looked normal. It was right next to the water so I'll give it that. Pulled it all up and had concrete poured.
Doesn't get very hot. I went barefoot in 127* AZ weather.

Re: FRF Watercooler / BS Thread 2016 (V2.0)
Had to go to a funeral today for a coworker who passed away. My boss and two others carpooled together, and they tried to get me to go with them, but the road on the way to the funeral home had a ton of roundabouts and shit, so there was no way in hell I was going to leave my manual transmission truck and ride with them. I felt like I was in a BMW the whole way there and the whole way back. lol.

While cleaning out the house of a friend that passed away a few years ago I came across a pair of 501's with a 30" waist, close to the 29"s I wore some time ago. On occasion, these are great to wear to parties where people are drinking, I mean, you don't see too many people in red 501's on the street since Reagan left office.
