Re: FRF Watercooler / BS Thread 2016 (V2.0)
Iirc you can take your pats ring out and zip tie or tape the pats key in the pats ring and then use a standard door key to start the truck. I don't recommend it because of the theft risk but hey your truck your mods lol

Standard bushmaster ar. Nothing to fancy. He already had some accessories for one so it worked out nicely.

I wish that's all I put on mine. If that was the case I wouldn't even need the ranger. Now that I work closer to home, if I work 6 day/weeks like I have been 3600 miles is about 10-11 weeks

I'd call that a good AR to trade. I'd have cried if it were a Colt, an Olympic Arms, or a build with good components. Enjoy the truck!

I'm 2.4 miles from work. I love it. I can get out of bed at 7:30 in the morning and still have plenty of time to shower and do everything else I need to do in the morning before I leave and still get to work at 8

He had a nice colt revolver in his collection. The thought of trading my 1911 crossed my mind and I said hell no.

Re: FRF Watercooler / BS Thread 2016 (V2.0)
Every man should have a minimum of one good revolver in his collection. Maybe not give up what you have now but rather and depending on what the revolver is, try to buy it.

I rubber-banded my pats key to the transponder antenna and duct-taped it up to the steering column... now I can start my truck with anything that will turn the lock cylinder.

Okay, maybe it was a zip tie, either way I may go back to using pats now that I have a scan tool that can program them but I kind of like not needing a chipped key.
