tough to beat, especially considering rent on a place like that is around $1300 around here and considering I've got a good down payment saved up, I should be able to manage it, with some cash left over for repairs & upgrades.

If it has been painted it will be a lot harder to remove but still worth it. Popcorn is such shit

I still have yet to figure out how I'm going to retexture the ceiling in my family room / office / the front room in my house where a piece of tape fell down. It's strange, my walls and ceiling are all slat board with thick ass plaster, but there was clearly a spot where there was tape done that peeled off.

About the only thing I can think of was many years ago, the roof / chimney leaked and damaged that spot on the ceiling and they used a piece of drywall tape to patch it and then plastered it again in a thin layer.
