I just wrote down my list, I've had nine cars on my own. If you count the cars my girlfriend and I bought together since I've been with her I've owned 13

You know what the problem is with new cars?
You can't even just hook them up to a battery without multiple sensors and other bullshit.
Then of course no one has one in stock after battery acid eats the piece of shit up.

Well, it's acid, what do you expect?
I honestly had more trouble with fucked up retarded positive terminals on the imports. VW especially.
Only ever had to replace one on a ford fusion because the battery practically exploded under the hood and sprayed acid everywhere, and then one on a 2015 duramax chevy. Because my boss set a wrench on top of it, and the negative post. That fucker was expensive!

I expect to not have to buy a specialty part just to hook up the battery. Maybe I'm old fashioned like that.

Eh, I get that. But when people want heated seats, voice command, navigation, etc, etc, etc....the electrical demands and needs go up with it.
The one for the dirtymax? $800.00. Don't fret.
Also, isn't your explorer like a 2015? Why the fuck does it need a battery already plus a terminal?

No idea. Wife said it wouldn't start so I opened up that red cover and it was a mountain of battery acid in there and the terminal was almost gone. Said "well I bet I can't get one of those today"
Bought a gel battery so maybe that won't happen again.

Makes installation a little more time consuming as well...
