Well! According to this chart, my retirement savings will last about 15 minutes!

No. What's depressing is being 61 years old and knowing there is no way you can retire.

Morning Rob! The only thing I can think of that would be depressing is if our cash strapped .gov looks at this huge pile of money we folks have in our ROTHS IRAs and changes their mind about not taxing the withdrawls.

Yikes! I don't anticipate retiring, merely reducing hours until I can't walk
My ira guy does those outlook calculations for me, and it's really depressing. Says I need to put in over 1000 a month... shiuuuutttt

Lost my IRA (house equity too) in the divorce of my first wife. Was so broke I could start anything as I needed every cent I could get my hands on. New baby with wife number two, then got laid off in 2009 due to the economy crash. Fucked at every turn. There is NO retirement.

Went through this years ago, took a lot of people a long time to realize that not too many people need the same level of income when they retire as they do when they are younger. Unless of course, they still have a mortgage, adult children that live at home (and maybe their spouse and kids), putting kids through college, these things. More realist foundation requirements today are, have two years of income invested for retirement by 35 and three years income invested by age 40. You'd be amazed what the numbers show about people accomplishing this.

Buy a motorhome, cruise North America, and when not on the road, "visit" one of the kids for weeks on end!
