New power steering box made all the difference. Way more control. Did run into some issues with the main stores and the power steering box they sell. The picture shows what it should look like but not what you actually get, they must have redesigned the top so there were clearance issues.

Left is what the OEM ford box looks like and what their stock pic looks like but the right is what you get.

I ended up getting a rebuilt ford box, which was probably for the best in the long run.

Yeah it was kind of sketchy because it went from nothing for a quarter turn on the steering wheel to everything the next 10th of a turn. This makes it way more enjoyable to cruise, I'm not so tense anymore lol.

Also went ahead and put that pinion guard on while I was working on it.

My dad's fj40 is sketchy to drive in the fact that Toyota designed the front end with way too many ball joints, and they are worn out so it likes to just veer off in whatever direction it wants

Yeah I've been eyeballing the pros since they came out and finally just pulled the trigger on them. They remind me of a less aggressive pitbull rocker which I'm already biased to.

Well I have had the bronco little over 13 months now and have put 600 miles on it.

I had a rigid wiring harness laying around and two light tabs so I went ahead and set that up to have extra light when I need it. I won't have the lights on there just driving around town and they are set up to quickly disconnect.

I first wired up some old 7" round lights I had laying around but thanks to the advancements in lighting technology they didn't add much over my led headlights. So I bought some Rigid SR-Q lights in a spot pattern.
Little guys but they have a lot of light.

Also made my armrest adjustable because it sits too far back to be comfortable. But I also need to be able to get to the lock.

Then my hazard switch is in the steering column now so the one on the dash didn't do anything. So I made the bezel work with the rigid switch and put it there

Output

Headlights on top and headlights with SR-Qs on bottom

Finally got rid of the old leaking homemade oil pan. Taking it on a test drive checking for leaks after installing the new one.

Changed out the side markers to something that looked a little better. Previous owner put those big ass markers on so I couldn't go back with an oem sized marker.

These are the best I could find that covered the holes. The bezel came polished so I painted those.

Also realigned the passenger fender, replaced some gaskets etc for leaks, replaced lift supports for the topper and got the wiring correct for the side markers (they were turning off when the headlights came on which wasn't supposed to happen.
