Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
Being as I used to own Chevys I don't have a hatred for them, but there are some ignorant Chevy owners. There are also some ignorant Jeep owners too. What I do when some when makes a Ford joke and tell me to drive a Chevy I say, "I did and it ran like a heap of shit". Thats when it actually ran. Now, I have had a little trouble with the Ranger, but it was nothing like the Tahoe. Some Tacoma owners are the same.

Because of that Ford needs to stick on a 4L blower on a fully built 5.4 and put it into a fully modified Ford GT running downhill to keep up with a stock ls1 in a long bed 4 door Silverado 4x4 hauling 92 tons worth of rocks in a huge ass trailer going up hill. Well Chevy guys by your logic the Flathead Ford v8 is the most superior V8 becuase its even more compact, has less moving parts and has 2 valves per cylinder. Infact a weed eater is even better becuase it has no valves!
Its sad that Chevy needs an extra 1.2L and a supercharger to beat a 5.0C Mustang.
Atleast Cadillac has it right with their 3.6 V6. Chevy guys dont complain about that DOHC, direct injected engine, yet if Ford makes one, its a POS that is POS.

My 1999 Grand Am had the DOHC 2.4L, biggest piece of crap i ever owned, it always ran on 3 cylinders for no reason and yet people love their z24 ha until its in the shop every other day, then they just facepalm themselves and quietly by a Carolla, Sentra or Elantra and you don;'t hear a peep from them or their "great" chevy

I have never understood o brand x is the best no its what ever your partial to or had a good exp with. This is my first Ford its a 3.0 and I think the motor blows does this make me thinks Ford sux for making a crappy motor no just means I need a V-8 to replace it.

lol funny you say that I have my old LS1 out for my S10 and I was picturing how much room was in the ranger. Went over to LS1tech.com to see if there was a write someone did no luck, so when I get Im going to do some measuring and see how tight the fit is. Ive been tossing the idea around in my head for a while now after seeing all of the 5.0 swaps I though dang wouldnt that throw a twist in thier drawers.

Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
i think that its bullshit too, i dont hear anyone trashing my truck (so far), all the men in my family have trucks...dad has a dodge for sears store, uncle has a chevy silverado, grandpa has a gmc pick up truck (two) had an old ford though before, and uncle has a dodge....
i have a Chevy 2500 cheyenne that i drive (no one else will haha) and i drive my dads tahoe...i drive the chevys and i do enjoy them but i love my ranger more i feel it is more capable for the things i use my truck for....BASICALLY ITS ALL PERSONAL PREFERENCE! (and price) I RESPECT MOST TRUCK DRIVERS! if you have a truck at all, then ur cool in my book!

Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
my buddy got a modified 400 horsepower 06 mustang gt from his parents and he wants a chevy tahoe for whatever reason. see but the thing with him is tht he hates the mustang, for example; he put HIDs in 0----correction, the incorrect sized HIDs with mainly electrical tape---- and wen they didnt work he sed "typical ford peice of shit doesnt work" along with my other friend tht owns a 4.3 s10 and was proud wen he said he cld beat me in a race bc ford is crap (i hav a 3.0 of course he cld beat me in a race!). the raw dumb comments by chevy ppl piss me off. and yes ford ppl do it too, i am guilty of callin chevys POS's bc they are =)

Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
This thread is just ironic. You call chevy owners ignorant yet you make a thread to make yourself feel better about your truck and to bash their's.... Not hatin on your Fords, because I like them, just callin what I see.
I could go over to a chevy site and probably find the same thread just about how ignorant Ford users are. I could even give personal experiences of some ignorant Mustang owners thinking their 2v is a godlike engine, and the ls1 crowd is filled with those type of people too.
What I'm gettin at is, who gives a fuck what they think of your car/truck? Let them talk, it really makes no different. I get called out to race by little 4 banger ricers all the time, I don't do it, but they love to call my american v8 a big POS that can't take a corner, I LOL and keep on my way...

Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
The last great v8 Chevy had was the 1990 to 1995 LT-5, which was put into Corvette c4 zr1's, they still beat new Corvettes today. They need to bring that engine back

Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
The LS series is better than their LT line. Ls1 compared to LT1 is a no brainer imo.

The C4 you are referring to is not a ZR-1, it is a Grand National Vette. Z51 I believe the code was, and they in no way beat the Corvettes of today, other then noteriety. The new ZR1 OWNS!

Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
The LT5, not LT1, major difference.
----------
and the old zr1 is capable of beating C6 'vettes

Re: Chevy Owner Ignorance
I know the LT5, but that was a one use application of that engine and it was great for its time. But I'd still take a LS1 over a LT5.

I think the new ZR1's can't be touched by other vets imo.
