Default Protests at G8 G20 World Summit

The G8 G20 World Summit is in Toronto this week and its basically a meeting between eight world leaders (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, and United States) to discuss global issues. Theres like thousands of riot police and even more protesters, and its awesome to watch on TV. Theres like 3 cop cars on fire, alot of vandalism and some pretty intense battles. Theres clips they keep showing where some nutcase protesters go up to the riot police and just get absolutely shit pumped, like the police just kept clubbing them. Theres one guy who looks really scruffy and he just stands infront of them and like stares at the riot police, then a group is behind him and the riot police smash his face with a riot shield. (BOOM Headshot) I don't really care about the g8 g20 summit, I just made this thread because Toronto is pretty raw right now and its kinda funny seeing the reporters get hassled and stuff.

It's been on global Toronto for a bit, and also theres live blogs on globalnational.com.

Something against the G8 G20. Either they don't really say on the news, or I just don't pay close attention and like seeing people get owned. Likely the second option. I'm sure I could find out but it doesn't really matter to me.
Plus the majority of the people are there just because everyone else is and it's an excuse to FSU and get away with it.

edit: Ok actually there are people there in like chicken suits protesting against eating meat, probably PETA. Theres people protesting about the water supply. I guess they are protesting because they know that people all over the world will see what's going on and it helps makes the world more aware and the protesters heard globally.
edit2: Apparently when the U.S. held this they only spent $18 million on security... Canada is spending $1 billion. Starting to understand the protests more now.

Canada blew the 1B budget a while ago, lol.

I'm so tired of this bullshit, having to pay to protect the rights of the protestors who aren't there to do anything peaceful; they just look for an excuse to cause anarchy. Let them protest in jail, and make them work to repay what they destroyed. It's the same story worldwide everytime there's a G.

Of course, that rediculous fake lake could have been avoided if the canadian gov held the summit on a military base near a REAL lake (and we could have saved 1B too by doing so), geez.

I had a good laugh when the french president said he'd do much better for much less, there's no challenge in that, but kudos for him to have the balls to say it.

Yeah. They just had to put it in like Canada's biggest city too. I think they should have had it in Banff like was suggested, only one highway in and quote "if they decide to come in through the back woods, we'll let the grizzlies deal with them."

I like the idea of that.

Protestors could help feed our grizzlies!

Figured they would have learned from Pittsburgh. I was part of the G20 Summit here and there was little to no problems. You threaten chaos and destruction of property in a "hunky steel town" and they will take you down.

Hell, the peaceful protesters were ratting out the bad ones who were causing problems. They didn't want their protest to be shut down because of some wacko losers.
