not sure if i can ask
guys i have a serious problem with a 07 mercury mariner premier and i cant find any site to get help on so i was curious if i could ask here and if so where do i post and if its not allowed i understand and hope i didnt offend. i wont ask until someone says yay or nay.

my door ajar light has been going on and off for awhile now and it really was no big issue,i did the wd 40 trick and i assume i have a bad door switch. well recently my dome light has been staying on , the one above the rear view mirror and every now and the my alarm goes off. but for the past 2 days something has drained my battery, i know it could be bad battery because its a few years old, but when i try and start it i here some noises coming from my 6 disc cd player. likes its flipping thru disc,and the digital messages on panel are switching in and out. i jumpstart the thing and check battery with it running and get 13.3 volts. but if it sits overnight its dead again

When your battery is dead it can make the electronics act funny. I would say it is time for a new one.

well fingers crossed its a bad battery, would suck if you had a short somewhere..

You can always get the battery tested beforehand.

the door ajar has been a issue ,but never was that major of one , since the dead battery and the instrument panel and cd making those noises is why i thought maybe battery related, as i said earlier battery is about 5 years old so probably need to replace anyway, my main gripe is i just bought a new ford edge and wife has been driving it since her Mariner started screwing up lol
