in recent years they have become more common in michigan too, just nothing like your guys but were no strangers to bad weather. lake michigan can either intensify storms that come across it or weaken the storm, all depends on the lakes mood. lol and yeah we have tornado sirens. when i was in highschool we had a real tornado warning and they made us move to the center of the school and stuff because of a water spout on lake michigan, sometimes those will become tornados when they make landfall. my school was about 1 mile from the shoreline.

The tornado sirens around here really have no affect on people. They here them and continue doing what they are doing.

They go off the first wed. of every month at 10am for testing. Even then people ignore them

Well except the people from out of state. If you catch some one from California or Florida at a gas station when they are testing it. Best 10 minuets of entertainment ever.

in conklin, that pic of the tornado was between ravenna and coopersville. Thats where conklin is, so it was pretty close to us. Yet somehow we had no wind damage yet everyone around has tress that went down and such. Dont tornadoes make the weather a bit calm before they hit or something?

About 50 miles south of me got ROCKED last night. Town of Eagle in Waukesha county lost about 100 houses(not trailers, these were probably $250,000 homes).
