I hated every minute of being on a ship during an ROTC trip. I know it doesn't compare but weh.

I agree. We still go out and fight, and it's fun when people try to pick on you for not having any "warfare pins".
Nah, might now have any pretty warfare pins, but a good chunk of the K9 community has been boots on the ground in the Middle East, actually putting rounds down range. I'll take that over a pin any day.

No I mean ship life. I'm in a boat company in the marines. Completely different. Ship life is shitty. Nothing to do, gyms small, lines to eat are long, if you dip or smoke and you run out you're fucked, etc. I'm getting on the green bay next month and I'm dreading it

Re: FRF Watercooler / BS Thread 2016 (V1.0)
I still have two years on my contract. I've done enough though. Ready to go do federal LE. I can't advance any more before my contract is up, and I'd have to get a sweet set of orders to get me to stay in.

Re: FRF Watercooler / BS Thread 2016 (V1.0)
Well hell..registration / emission late fees aren't that bad. lol
"With the exception of temporary permits, owners receive a one month grace period after their registration expires. Then, the $25-per-month late fee applies to any portion of the subsequent months for up to four months. The total amount assessed will not exceed the $100 late fee limit."
"Goal" should be September...however, worst case...an extra $100 if I need to wait until after Winter. lol
