Quit trying to ruin the niave people's sense of security. You go around and start talking all this nonsense about some of the people that insure their security being corrupt and their whole faith in humanity is destroyed. This is obviously something that cant be argued. 90% of the cases of cops being corrupt are from personal experience with no documentation, because if there was documentation, that person wouldnt be a cop anymore. And if you post links, its been proven that people wont read them, they probably wont even make it this far in my post. Its a waste of time /thread

Re: Radar Gun and GPS question
This thread had really cracked me up.....lot's of lawyers and cops on this board with all this info :-)
How to "get out" of a ticket
1) Don't speed
2) If you do speed, first thing you do is take a driver improvement class, get your speedometer calibrated, if it's off then take that paperwork in and you could get it either tossed out, or reduced to equipment failure type charge (your state my differ)
showing up with gps's, pictures of gps's, or "I didn't do it" as your responce won't work for you, well, not in my state/county
Remember when you go to court, wear your "sunday clothes" trust me, it goes a LOONG way, hell I've seen a judge toss out a ticket because the guy wore a suit as opposed to most people in their sean john jeans hitting the floor and t shirt.....respect for yourself goes a long way.......
Good luck, hope things work out for you, and just remember, there's no cryinging in baseball

Cops are people, there a mature cops, and immature cops, there are honest cops, and dishonest cops, just like there is honest and dishonest people.
My buddy didnt even get a ticket for his brake light... So he didnt have any reason to say "the mans just out to get me" If you think the cop is right and honest 100% of the time, then you are not the brightest crayon.

I'll be the first to say I'm not the brightest crayon, sharpest knife, brightest bulb or whatever metaphor you want to use. But I am going off personal experience (a lot of it). No, cops are not right 100% of the time. Yes cops do lie. Yes the world is imperfect. But in the USA quotas are illegal yet "goals" are allowed. Semantics huh?
Cops do a job as does everyone else. Cops are people. Different cities, counties, states hire different calibers of officers. So yes bad apples do get in. In a whole, though, cops are held to a higher standard and because of that they should be more trustworthy than you average Joe, and most of them are.
By adding your wise ass comment, yes, you were getting into the argument, as you stated you wouldn't. I don't really care either way. I just wanted to get my opinion out there because I did want to get in the argument.

So what are we argueing about if you agree? You just picked me out like you disagree, but you just said what I said in different words...Some cops are liars, some are thieves, some are adulterers, some are child abusers...Im speaking from experience too, I lived with one for probably more than half my life. I didnt say anything about quotas... Or goals for that matter. Are you high?

We're arguing about YOU getting into the argument...because you said you wouldn't.
My initial post was all about you getting into the argument...because you said you wouldn't.
My second post was mainly agreeing with what you said but you inferred from my post that cops were saints, which I never said. The second post was again was stating you got into the argument.....when you said you wouldn't.
The quota comment was info for some of the other posts....not yours. I like your parting shots though. Asking if I'm high? Are you trying to get a rise out of me? It seems immature but I think you now understand what we're arguing about. But to each there own. No hard feelings.

lol no, I was joking about the high thing...I was saying I wasnt getting in the arguement about whether cops should show you their radars and if they are required and if you can trick your GPS. I am pretty immature too, but you know that by now

Re: Radar Gun and GPS question
This thread reminds me of a youtube video I saw a while back that was actually just audio...but this guy called into a radio station talking about how he gets out of tickets in his iroc. He was talking about how radar guns cant pick up his car because he waxes it so much "just like the stealth bombers" and how he got pulled over with a bitch giving him head and he intimidated the cop with his malboro reds on the dash and his fake tattoos...It was fucking hilarious...went on for probably 15 minutes.
