Actually it doesn't have true vtec anymore. Most Honda's don't now. They went from conventional headers to a single port exhaust to enhance emissions. By doing so they had to maximize lift on the exhaust cam so it wouldn't choke, and since it's already at the limit of the exhaust port they eliminated the exhaust vtec and only have it on the intake side. So no real jump like the old cars, spread throughout the rpm range. That's why a supercharger works well on these since it stays relatively linear all the way til redline

Re: Vogenitz69's TSX Supercharged Daily Sport Build
Here's a somewhat organized list of things that'll be going on the car in the near future.
The blower,
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/ct-engin...2-350-039.html
Aftercooler,
Stage 2 pulley included, optional ZDX throttle body adapter (more air flow)
http://vittuned.com/tuning-products/...age-2-kit.html
Injectors,
The CT kit comes with injectors but they are limited to 550cc. I have bigger plans so I'll be upgrading the 750cc injectors
http://www.deatschwerks.com/products...0-4-398-detail
Transmission cooler,
This is a huge necessity since in automatic and it's a Honda transmission. It's also possible that I'll have my torque converter upgraded and set to a higher stall speed to jump in the powerband, still up for debate though. To be safe I may use the heavy duty version that includes a shrouded fan
http://www.proimporttuners.com/parts...FYQ8gQoduBEOYQ
Rear sway bar,
Not that my Coilovers don't already do an amazing job gripping the road, I'd rather have it and take it off if it's not worth it
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/progress...roduct_reviews
Axle boots,
This is a problem a majority of 1st gen Tex's face when lowering their rides. Any large bump messes the angles of the axles up and ends up damaging the stock boots causing a whining vibration noise when accelerating and decelerating. I have this slightly but it's covered by my exhaust. I'll be swapping both boots just to be safe since they are 500hp rated
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/drivetra...joint.cl9.html
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/axles/fa...int.cl9.1.html
Brakes,
I plan on doing a oem-custom BBK. Upgrading the front 11.8" rotors to 12.8" 350z rotors and utilizing Acura RL 4 piston calipers and upgrading the rear from 11.2" to 12.3" Acura MDX rotors and stock calipers. I'll be using EBC red stuff on all 4 corners. Calipers will be painted red for looks. This upgrade might not yield any better stopping distance but it will provide better heat dissipation under hard braking making the whole system less likely to warp

Cosmetics,
The China edition of the tsx is called a Spirior, and they have sweet led tail lights. I'll also be utilizing a Type S badge where the typical tech package badge would be located on the trunk, hence the red calipers. I'll also still be on the hunt for black Acura center caps to swap out the enkei logo's.

Re: Vogenitz69's TSX Supercharged Daily Sport Build
You're willing to drop 6500+ for 50hp? The amount of money you are going to spend on that bucket, you could get a roller, ls swap said roller and make double the hp lol

X2. I could think of a lot of things to spend that money on that would give a bigger bang for the buck.

It would be closer to 150-200hp. The numbers on ct's site are based on a completely stock tsx with just the s/c slapped on with a base calibration. This same setup on 12' Si's are putting down 370hp to the wheels

Still, that kind of cash and only having 300wheel is lame.

Exactly, shoot, 3500 would buy an 1125cr buell. Although it's probably a bit much for a n00b

Re: Vogenitz69's TSX Supercharged Daily Sport Build
Hell for $6500, you could get a 96-98 cobra with bolt on's that makes around 340-350 rwhp. My old 96 cobra just with cams and polished and ported heads made 335 rwhp and 365 rwtq. Cost of the cams and heads was only $600.

Re: Vogenitz69's TSX Supercharged Daily Sport Build
First start was a fluke. Wrong injector connections so had to downgrade to the 550cc’s that came with the kit. Second start took a moment to turn over but ran beautifully. Sat around 1200 rpm at a 14.2 A/F cold and was around 850-900rpm once semi warmed up. Got a good 10-15 minute datalog for the next step in tuning.
