Explorer 5.0 swap towing
I want to swap the explorer 5.0 next year I was wondering if anyone has experienced a increase in the truck handling loads better?

it's just more power. Truck will handle the same as nothing has changed suspension wise

Will actually be harder on the brakes with the extra weight. Might add rear discs and use performance discs and pads.

Seems like a really simple way to figure this out.
Look up explorer 5.0 towing capacity.
Problem solved.

The towing would be different cause it's a truck vs a suv
----------
I really only want comments if u have a 5.0 swap and you tow things

it will obviously pull faster. Getting to speed, engine works less, a lot more torque... But tow ratings aren't just based off horsepower and torque. There's also frame flex, suspension spring rates, vehicle weight, and most importantly stopping power. And unless you can upgrade all of those, the difference in towing is negligible

hey shut up. You don't tow anything. And your 5.0 isn't running yet.

hey he is right about truck vs suv. Leafs are over on the ranger vs under on the explorer. But the other factors still apply
I'm getting there! It's manual so I won't be towing too much, but enough to get jetskis to the water!
