MRE's anyone?
No, I'm not prepping for any type of apocalypse, just need a quick way to prepare a meal a couple times a week.
Years ago, I used to buy a case or 3 a couple times a year, but haven't been around that supplier for a long time.
I know things have changed, I'd like to know who is a reliable resource, as far as quality, and price goes. I've looked at the interwebby thing, seen the stuff Amazon has, and a few others, but reviews are confusing.
So who of you guys know anything about them? Have a supplier that is trustworthy? Have reasonable prices?

Mountain House is the brand I bought after researching it last year. Everything I read said they taste the best but I haven't tried one. I think they also have the best dates and last 20 years. I remember reading some reviews on other brands where they would get meals that were already a few years old and were only good for 5 or so years, others that taste like cardboard etc.
I think they are pricey but I don't remember if they are any more than the other brands. You might look into them though.

Yes, I'll look into them. The dates were some of the complaints people mentioned. Also the reported restocking issue the military used/is using, whether that is completely true or not, it's an issue that concerned me.

Know what you guys are saying, I'm a vet as well, but all we had were C and K rats, so these were a definite improvement.
Don't plan on a steady diet of them, just handy for when I finally get home some days.
