how about this guy? Also, after research I say it will be a close race. Not really a FAIR race, because STL's truck is lifted with big tires and that colorado is a reg cab with tiny tires.

STL's Stats to match:
2005 Ford Ranger 4x2 Edge (4wd suspension)
at least 31 inch tires
intake/tune/exhaust

Colorado owner:
2004+ Colorado z71 4x2 (4wd suspension)
at least 31 inch tires

I have owned (regretivley) 2 chevy colorados. I know what HPtuners did with my 2.8 and my 3.5 was nothing short of impressive. Is this dude running a stock tune? The 3.7 is a little quicker than the 3.5 correct?

Ya'll still warping cylinder heads every 30k miles? I lemon lawed my 2.8 and they gave me a 3.5 to replace it. Both truck had the same problem at least once.

So I guess the chevy guy doesnt want to run me tonight because i'm a slow offroad truck. Fine by me, i need some time to tie up some loose ends before i go. Hopefully we'll get a run in the next few weeks.

I'm not insulted by Edgeman's comments, nor do I feel they are untrue or unwarranted. (although, maybe could have been worded in a less inflammatory way) There has been a lot of back and forth since he came by with his "friendly invitation" and even though he has been a very good sport about things for the last 13 or whatever pages of Ranger enthusiasts acting exactly the way Ranger enthusiasts should act when a Chevy enthusiast swings by, Colorado Boy HAS started getting a little bit abrasive since he found out there was a moderator taking his side.

I would really like to see something come of this, and would even go so far as to suggest an annual competition between forums done independently and arranged by admins of this forum and theirs. But Colorado Boy IS a GUEST here, as he is not a Ranger owner or driver, nor has he expressed any interest in becoming one. We should treat him with the respect a quest deserves but he should be gracious also and not cop an attitude with members here, and (in my opinion) IF the mods are going to start issuing warnings or temporary bans it should be made CRYSTAL CLEAR to the guest that it is a last report to maintain a respectful relationship with the representative of the other forum, and NOT simply taking sides. (unless that IS what is going on, lol)

Anyways, I'm getting off my soapbox. A certain chevy owner's smugness in the face of a mod here sticking up for him just kinda rubbed me the wrong way, and I think Edgeman was catching heat unjustly.

Hm, I wonder which certain mod you are talking about.

So far 2 mods and an admin have been watching all this and we all think its fine.

colorado boy has had a bit of attitude but it is because our members here are dishing it out. Consider this a warning for everyone. This is a friendly thing, talk shit if you want but any personal attacks and insults will be taken seriously.

He posted an offer of a friendly competion, he even said that his intent ISN'T to start a war but was just wanting to see if anybody was interested in raceing their ranger aginst a colorado.

There is no need to be bashing this guy, and i see no harm in a little competion between a ranger and a colorado.

It's just a competition to see who's truck is better.
