Re: Cabinet Repair help
move the hinge down on the door about 1/2", drill new pilot holes about 1/4 the length of the screws, and you should be good to go.

Stick some little pieces of wood (like toothpicks) in the existing holes to tighten the hole,
Then run the screws back in.

You can also use the plastic wall Anchors that are used on drywall.
The problem with moving the hinge, that hinge require you to drill out the door for the spring loaded part to go in...
i would use wood, or anchors as suggested. or JB weld that bitch on

I tried the first posters idea and the screws wouldn't seat... Tried this after a neighbor showed me and it worked great! We put gorilla glue on the ends of the toothpicks to keep em in there too

Re: Cabinet Repair help
Yup. Use ordinary carpentry glue (or common white glue) slathered onto a chunk of wood that you can tightly wangle into the hole. Fill the holes completely & tightly, with wood. Loose fit won't do. I usually use a hammer to tap the wood into the holes to get a tight fit. Leave excess wood sticking out, for now, until glue dries. Let glue dry for a few hours, then snip off any excess sticking out & sand it smooth. Toothpicks are OK for tiny screw holes. Whittle larger pieces for larger holes. This works great in any wood, even particle board. Good as new!
