Default Wife Needs A New Car!

On 2/27 this happened.

On 3/13 this happened.

The end result.

It has been a week since the accident and the adjuster is finally coming out today to look at it. I'm pretty sure they are going to total it. You would not believe the amount of damage. The truck left his license plate in the hole where the headlights use to be. I wanted to keep the plate but the cop took it to return it to them. Other than the plate the only damage to the truck was scratches on the bumper. Oh well, no one was hurt so we will see how it goes.

The truck was pulling out of a parking lot and didn't look. Totally his fault.

Well they totaled it, I figured they would. And they are giving us a fair price for it, $8k. I wasn't going to take anything less than $7k and when they said $8k I said I could live with that. Now we need to do some car shopping.

Damn, that sucks. If you want a Ford, look at a Focus. They are good little commuter cars and you get a lot for an econo box with the newer models.

I'm curious about the 2/27 accident?

How about an Escape? We've got 2 now. Awesome rigs

I like my focus. It gets great gas mileage while still being fun to drive. It's not a bad looking car either.

Now would be a good time to think of a more winter capable vehicle if you get a lot of snow

On 2/27 she was coming down a wet, windy, hillside road. Hit a patch of slick mud on the road and spun out, going off the side of the hill backwards. The only damage that time was a bent tailpipe. Luckily she didn't hit the two trees there.

Not sure what she is going to get but she is leaning to something hybrid or all electric.

What year is the Vibe? How many miles? Did you ask them how much to buy it back?

The no brainer choice is the Prius!

Model 3 is suppose to be out in 2017 for 35k. Incentives, etc could get the price to 27k. If you live near a Supercharger that makes it really sweet.

We're honestly thinking of getting my wife a dual motor S when she finishes nursing school.

Looking at the warranty and the fact we're close enough to a supercharger already, it's not that expensive. Family road trips would skyrocket in my household. Lol
