bought our wedding rings!
Sara and I went to look at wedding rings Friday afternoon in Winston Salem, NC at Hanes Mall. I wanted to go to Kay Jewelers because they had a titanium ring that I wanted for only $99. Got there tried on every Tungsten and Titanium ring they had and chose the one I had originally liked. But Sara couldnt find one that she lovedd, so we held out on buying until she found one too.
Walked across the main walk in the mall over to Helzberg Jewelers (where I bought her engagement ring). We looked at the men's rings and again, I tried on every titanium and tungsten ring they with none I liked. Then our sales lady walked us over the the Scott Kay collection and we started looking at those. The third one I put on my finger was the one I wanted. wasnt expecting the price, but Its what i wanted so we got it. Then it took Sara no more than 5 minutes and she already found one that she loved! That was fast, especially for her!
Here is mine; a 14kt White Gold band. Its calles "Alpha Step" As you can see it is a mix between a brushed finish and a polished finish. its a 5mm with comfort fit.
here is one like Sara's (cant find the exact one, but you get the idea) hers is 14kt white gold with 1/2kt worth of diamonds around the top half of the ring
anyways, thats one thing off the wedding checklist

Re: bought our wedding rings!
Nice, I've got one just like yours made of tungsten carbide in a 9mm wide band. I tend to be rough on my jewelry for some reason, so I went with that material. In case you are worried about the appearance of the ring, the white gold will scratch very easily so be careful. If you work with your hands a bit like I do, then you might want to reconsider the material. My tungsten carbide ring has just surpassed 2 years and there's not even a scratch on it.

I'm a draftsman...lol. The only work these do is strike a key. No really im not that rough, maybe it wont be so too bad. if I do any kind of mechanic work, ill take it off anyway. doung ill scratch it too much fishing. Other than those few things right there, that is about the roughest conditions it will see

Re: bought our wedding rings!
Ha, I'm a draftsman too... mostly. That's the scary part, I've got no idea how I can scratch so many things up.
