I'm not trying to be a JA but there are at least 4 other threads on CBs on here.

We tend to give the newer guys a hard time but it is all in good fun. Heck, if you look back at some of my first posts on the "other" forum I was asking some pretty dumb questions. The search feature can be accessed from the navigation bar at the top of the forum located below your user info.
Quick link --> http://www.fordrangerforum.com/search.php
I have also found that if you type the question into a search engine (google, yahoo, bing, whichever) and add "fordrangerforum" or "ford ranger forum" at the end, the search results should show any forum threads with that information. This works especially well with image searches.

if your truck is an auto I always suggest this, remove the ash tray / phone cubby, unscrew the airbag key switch from it, and you can mount a compact or midsized CB bracket using the same holes as the factory ash tray. then if you get sick of the CB (like I did 'caus no one has a CB anymore, lol) you can put the dash back to stock in about 20 minutes, no holes, no mess.
