Sorry man, but no pity here. That's way over than "just" speeding. The LEO did his job, I'd shake his hand. Speeding a little over is somewhat acceptable, 5mph or less, but that's just total disregard for public safety, very selfish and aggressive. Never fails to amaze me how some get upset at the cop, not that you did, but you were definitely wrong, wrong, wrong.
LOL, people wouldn't like me much if I was a LEO, I see driving like that daily, and bluntly, I'd bust them for all I could get.

Ya, a lot of times. But I even see it when they just slowly go around me.
On the admission thing. I got stopped by Mr. DOT on a two lane, he got me running downhill at 62 speed limit 55. We met headon around a blind curve. Yep, he got me dead to rights. He walked up to my truck and told me what he got me for. I just said, that's about right. No ticket issued, just "asked" me to slow down some. Moral, don't even try to lie, makeup an excuse or anything. Cops have seen/heard it all. Be truthful and treat the guy decent, and things workout a lot of times. BTW, I have slowed down, and NEVER speed through a small town, have some respect for the residents. Those speed limits are there for a reason.

wont do you a bit of good if we are using a lidar or stopwatch. Also the new radars have you locked long before the detector goes off.

or just go the speed limit in places you don't have long detailed distance visibility. Or if a $600+ hurts that bad then maybe you'll spend less money trying to speed and save money driving slower

I do this to the officer that pulled me over every time I see him hiding at the bottom of the hill where he clocked me. I paid for my 10 over ticket, I went to school. But the Cop was an absolute dick about the whole thing, and that is why I enjoy fucking with him. Speed limit is 40, everybody goes 45 because it's like a highway. I go 40 through that stretch because he always hides in the same spot. When I reach the top of the hill and see his car, I get ready to downshift to 3rd gear. The minute I get within audible range, I downshift into third, and drop my speed to 35. My truck is loud, so every time I do that, I can see his head pop up and look, and then check his radar gun. I just drive right on by and wave.
