thought ford recalled 53 2015 mustangs for the seat belt tensioner being calibrated wrong thus causing unexpected airbag deployment?

This airbag recall has to do with the airbag manufacturer (Japanese company named Takata that produces the airbags in Mexico) making faulty airbags. Apparently, the metal cylinder that holds the airbag in place, explodes along with the airbag instead of remaining in tact, sending metal fragments flying like an IED. Couple people have been killed as a result and others were seriously injured.
