Something different
First it's not a Ford, it's a '63 Chevy and the guy has done a lot of nice work.
There is a Car Show here next month and he is determined to have the truck done for the show.

I LOVE the resto rod thing but if your going to do it you need to go all the way with it.For example a 68 mustang is cant have boyd wheels unless it has disc brakes coil overs and fuel injection. If i am not willing to go all the way with it it needs to be era specific or its an abortion.Lambo doors work on "true lowriders" but that a separate class all together.
Me being so picky is a real PITA and thats why i help friends build their rods,so far i can't afford to do mine.

Depends how you look at it. I'm not a lambo door fan, even on lambos i thought it was funny looking.
It's all in the personal taste imo, doesn't matter if the car you drive is not 100% historically perfect, weren't all hot rods custom made anyways?

Re: Something different
Those don't look like lambo doors to me. They look like butter fly doors. To each of their own.

This is very true.I am helping with a car right now and the owner wanted to do a two tone paint job on it,Black and White.Top is white and bottom is black split right on the body line.He loves it.I hate it because the shades are too far apart on the spectrum. To me it looks too harsh.I only offer an opinion and an explanation for my opinion but in the broad scheme of things it doesnt matter what anyone thinks of your stuff as long as you like it if you are truely building it for you and not the masses. If its a show car you kinda need to go with the trends if you want to win.If its a classic you need to follow the guidelines or be flamed. With lowriders anything goes and thats kinda the cool thing with lowrider shows, you never know what you'll see.
