Yeah, it's a cake Transit job, but it sucks. Only reason I'm doing it is because it pays well LOL. But, that's the beast. I was doing Security for Houseing Authority, and that was fun. But the pay sucked LOL. Gotta trade somewhere eh?

Hoping to make it much better than stock!

Depends on your definition of fun....

For example, I'm supposed to run people off for skateboarding. Well, that's dumb. I'll only do that if they give me an attitude for telling them where they can skateboard, as I don't want bus riders getting ran over. I offer an alternative spot to skateboard while witing for the bus. No biggy.

If you're into trashing the restroom, tagging everything you can find to tag, smoking dope, or drinking on the property, I'll run you off. Because it's just dumb that you do that.

Some people will crap all over the floor and stuff the toilets with paper and flood the restrooms. Nasty nasty, and if I catch you doing that, you're either going to clean it up, or I'll be calling the police to deal with your behavior. One guy, his name was steve and we know his name was stsve because he wrote it on the restroom wall with his own crap, hit our restrooms for about a week. Painting, in crap, his name on the wall every day, then one day, disappeared. We never saw him. I wanted to catch him to have him arrested, but, in a way I'm glad. It was nasty and I ended up losing my lunch usually.

Anyhow.....

Ah, I'm working on going in to building cabins LOL. I don't like dealing with people that think they should do whatever they wish without consequence. I've been doing this line of work solidly since 2006 when I got out of the Army, thinking it would be an easy job. And now it is, I'm just an overpaid human video camera in a transit parking garage, but when I worked for the Housing Authority..... Man oh man. Busy times LOL. We worked our butt off, not much pay, and you had to learn to be creative when dealing with things because we're not cops. I got pretty good at using my brain and my mouth more than anything. Sometimes it got physical, usually not. It was always fun to see someone break into a car, or steal something, and then look at you like "....What?? It's free!" LOL

It'll count when you retire, or quit. Then you can be a guard for easy money. (Been there, Done both)

I work as a security officer at a shopping center working the graveyard shift. It pays well and has very good benefits. I normally only deal with employees but once in a while I get to see some cool stuff.

I work as a Public Safety Officer here at my school....weekends are ball busters...constantly dealing with drunk people who always want to fight...on top of that every shift, one officer has to go through every academic building, and pull on every door handle to make sure their locked (between 8 PM and 8 AM). shifts are usually 4 hours, but on weekends, they are 8 hours for me.

A few weeks ago I had to work at the Indian's Pow Wow that was taking place in out gymnasium....what a mess...kids running around having fist fights, people selling and smoking dope...I was constantly dealing with things for my whole 7 hour shift...fun times...on top of that I was being checked out the whole time by some chick, hahaha
