Probably not enough to notice it. He probably did feel a huge difference in throttle response though. Adding stuff like that does add hp but not enough to "feel" it

I'm sure I can get you a picture - although, it's just a boring black tube with some black silicone couplers. I didn't opt for the "body colored" or "carbon fiber" intake tube.

Yep, exactly the above.
I must not have the calibrated "butt dyno" that some of the guys around here have.
I never notice or "feel" anything dramatically different after installing any kind of "bolt-on" upgrade.

Yeahhhh - Well, colorful engine bays are not really my thing. However a clean engine bay is a must.
Like most of the time when people paint part of their interiors - it just stick out & don't look right to me.
Now if we were talking about powder coating valve covers and having an engine to "back it up" - then I'm all for it.

Re: Build Thread - Logan's 2003 Mach 1
The new height of the shaker looks way better than stock. Adds more of that muscle car look.
The throttle body, intake spacer and CAI do add some hp and tq, they are more effective when refined with a tune (these mod motor mustangs need a tune for every little bolt-on mod). They really make a difference with forced induction .
As for a tuner, SCT X-Cal 3.

Thanks - Yeah, I definitely think it looks good raised a bit.
Plus the intake manifold spacer wasn't hard to install & every little bit helps!

Yep - I'll be going with SCT for sure.
I'm looking into the Livewire vs. X4 setup at this point. They seem to have the same general backbone between them - However the Livewire setup has the 4" touch screen & some selectable graphics/gauge layouts. It also seems like data logging "might" be easier with the Livewire.
I doubt I'll be mounting it in the car either way - but the Livewire screen setup might be fun to play around with every so often. Not sure yet though.
I've had great success with Don over at LaSota Racing during my Ranger years, so I'm sure that's who will get my business again when it comes to the initial tuning to squeeze a bit more out of the stock setup as well as to incorporate these general bolt-on type items.
