Re: Anyone want to guess what type of vehicle rear-ended me this morning?
I'm amazed how little damage the Ranger took from this. Other guy's front-end was smashed up beyond repair. I think he slid under the vehicle rather than head-on. By the looks of it I just need a new bumper and tailgate.
Oh, and damn whiplash...

Seems like Rangers survive fairly undamaged whenever a small foreign car rear-ends them. I've seen a few of these threads now.

Actually, it was a family-sized van. I was at a dead stop and he plowed into me.
Now I understand the phrase "built ford tough".

Re: Anyone want to guess what type of vehicle rear-ended me this morning?
He must have hit you pretty hard to have his emblem be "embedded" in your paint. I had a driver in a Honda Accord slide under me in my 02' Ranger, but he bent the bumper down. Ironically, the only damage was to the bumper brackets and license plate cover and lights. Hope your whiplash isn't too bad. I know I hurt about two days later, and as my doctor said "consistent with whiplash". Last, hope he was fully insured and you get your vehicle up and running soon.

Your Ranger came outta nowhere to him lol. Glad you don't have a lot of damage. Hope you feel better, whiplash is a PITA.

Need the spray-liner redone after they replace my tailgate. And one of the leaf springs appears very slightly bent.

I did that once to a Toyota with my Saturn, I went right under. The were ok, I pushed radiator back, bent hood up, dislodged lower motor mount. Good times...
