Default Sirius Radio

I've been blessed with a truck that has Sirius, when my dealership said my upcoming truck will have 6 months for free i just dismissed it, thinking i'd never pay for radio, but i'm getting addicted to it!

Are there people on this board that subscribe to it? Is 165$+activation+tax (Can$) a good price or do they have specials at times?

Feedback would be appreciated!

My wife has it, and love sit. Not sure what we pay, though. I think we get a yearly subscription. I'll check and see. I know they run specials very occasionally, but you can call them and ask for a different rate or special rate.

I have XM and I wont go without it. Just a better overall selection of music ten I can get from local radio.

Only time I listen to local radio is when severe weather is around.

My wifes beetle came with a 3 month free subscription. Once it was up we were not really interested in paying 9.99 a month for radio. They called asking to renew it and she said no thanks it was to much and they dropped the price just like that.

She pays 6.99 a month and I pay 3.99 a month for mine in the truck

I'm on a family plan. I pay about 90 a year for xm. XM and Sirius combined most of their programming anyway. But I tend to like XM's units better. If you already have sirius built in with your factory radio then obviously thats the way to go.

I love my XM radio I can pause and rewind songs. You can pause upto 60 minutes. When you rewind it it goes back to the beginning of the song you were listening to and if you keep hitting it it goes back to the beginning of the previous song.

It also has song/artist alerts. So when your fav. song or artist comes on it beeps showing you what channel it is on and you can switch to that channel

Thanks guys, didn't know plans could be that low! For 15$/m it's kinda steep, but 7$/m i'd sign up as soon as my 6 months would be done with.

I was browsing channels, and noticed that live games showed score in the second line of text, so cool!

Once the free subscription is up that is when you wanna negotiate the price.
Just tell them you cant afford the 15 a month but 7-8 a month is good for you.

I would also like said above ask about the activation. You shouldn't have to pay that since you already have it set up.

Would be great if they had several plans, at least 60% of the stations i'm not interested in.

Like a "pick and pay" type plan where 5$/m would give you a set amount of stations, etc...
