oh there are some stupid people in the world...
Why would you even think about throwing it from Drive to Reverse at any speed faster than what the transmission will pull the truck at?
And leaving it in gear will make it "coast" farther. The pulling of the tranny will make it roll farther than in neutral, especially uphill

i always make sure im at a complete stop before going to reverse in an auto...manual im usually rolling forward a little...makes it easier

Most times I'm stopped but even when I'm rolling its only from the transmission itself pulling the truck.

it'll be alright. I don't get on the gas immediately. I let the trans engage before giving it any gas. I've always done it, dads always done it. My mom stops completely and uses her parking brake in the garage. And Matt stops completely but his trans kicks into reverse and drive lol

it doesnt matter if youre on the gas or not...you need to be 100% stopped before shifting from drive to reverse..otherwise you shock the trans with that sudden change
