Yes yes, got it from Walmart in store but had to pay full price. The same watch is on Walmart.com and Amazon for $37 currently but I needed it by Thursday and shipping would have taken too long.
I had to trim the band for my 6" wrist so it wouldn't stick out and be weird. Looks so much better though.

I do really like that black watch with the date feature. My current Casio watch is acting up. I had the battery replaced February-ish, and I noticed last week it died again. I reset it, so I thought a possible battery issue. It died again, so I need to take it for a replacement battery. I'm thinking that the current one sat for too long.

Re: The Watch Thread
Well, I took the Casio with me on my beach trip and I like it a lot. I have no complaints about it. Sturdy build, keeps good time, the resin band is actually not bad though I'll still get a NATO for it. Looks solid in person and nice on the wrist. I took it in the pool with me and it took the water like a champ, as expected. The screw down crown is a nice touch. The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is the lume, which seems to fade fairly quickly. Not that big of a deal though.
Anyway, well worth the $60 I ended up paying for it. /minireview

I'm a fan of the fossil tachometer wristwatch because it allows you to check your guages if you know how to use it to diagnose tire size issues.

Anybody here like watches?
I am definitely not a big jewelry guy. I sometimes go weeks at a time without wearing my wedding ring (which is just a black steel ring).
However, I feel naked without a watch on my wrist.
I work at a bank, and I work with very wealthy clients, so I am required to wear a suit and tie to work every day.
I admit that I have a bit of a watch fetish. I currently have 8 working watches.
That said, the most I've ever paid for a watch is about $85.
Until yesterday.
I had been stashing some money here and there and built up a nice little stash.
I finally bought a "nice" watch.
Citizen Eco Drive Perpetual Chrono AT.
It's solar powered, and receives signals from the Atomic Clock at Fort Collins, CO.
Being so close to Valentine's Day, the jewelry store had 25% off everything in the store, so it was considerably cheaper than it would have been at regular price.
I love it, but I feel a bit silly paying more than $100 for a watch.

Re: Anybody here like watches?
I looked at a Nighthawk, but it had black dial and black hands, and I couldn't really tell time easily with it.

Re: Anybody here like watches?
I love watches. At one point I had a half dozen easily. Ex-wife ended up with several. Damn shame. But once I started putting my hands inside machines to fix them for a living, I kind of gave up watches. Now I use the damn cell phone for it.
Had one like this:
Still have this one:

Re: Anybody here like watches?
I do eventually want one that has visible gears on the face.
The Bulova I was looking at had a small window with the gears visible, and the whole back was visible.

I got one VERY similar to that, has a silver ring around face, and silver hands, the second hand and the hands on the 3 dials are orange.
Got it as a discontinued model on a cruise last year for "cheap", first nice watch I've ever bought.
Have 3 or 4 fossils that I still wear occasionally.

Re: Anybody here like watches?
I made a watch thread a while back that I tried to keep alive but it kind of faded lol. All mine are posted in there.
