Moving to Birmingham for new job

I'll be heading to Birmingham this weekend to start my new job at the Mercedes Benz plant in Vance on Monday.

Put the house up for sale last week and already got a contract signed, which is great for this economy.

It gonna be great to be living near a Harbor Freight, a full Sears, and a Pull-A-Part junkyard again.

Anyone other shade tree mechanics in the area?

Are you still in the Hoover area? I'm new here (to the site) and saw your post about OD and IM band adjustments...I know its a longshot but if your still in the area i had some questions about some strange issues I'm having with my 03 ranger's tranny. I have been troubleshooting myself after a frustrating trip to the local Mr Trans on 31 and I-65...would love to pick your brain before i order a new valve body to stick in there next...I've made a couple posts on here about it but it seems there are so many problems with these transmissions its hard to separate all the issues.

a little info, dropped a P0734 code and O/D off light flashes every now and then at interstate speeds and send it into limp mode but turns off and drives fine after i restart the truck. Anyway if your still in the area let me know, i work downtown Bham at Alabama Power...
