Well I'm going to try and contact Geofatboy over at shavingnation.com to see what he thinks about RazoRock's products. My curiosity is peaked because I got another epic shave yet again today and it was with this stuff by itself with nothing else:

^ It works just like the cream that you can get in a tube does. Just fill the tip of your shaving brush up with this stuff and add an extremely small amount of hot water and you'll have enough lather to make at least 3 passes easy. Now after my epic shave was completed, I rinsed with hot water first and then cold water to seal my face back up and I applied this stuff:

^ I rubbed this stuff in really good for a couple of minutes and then I let it set for about 5 minutes. Next I took a warm washcloth and wiped my face down really good and dried it off with a clean towel. The results were really good. The ladies love this kind of shaving. I've got 2 that are interested in me as we speak since I've returned to this kind of shaving which is a good thing.

I just had another epic shave this morning. Unfortunately my shaving brush broke this morning so I'll order me a good one. No more being cheap on this stuff with the exception of DE blades of course (they're already cheaper than the cartridges) . Gillette just also released a "dyson ball" version of their Fusion Pro-Glide razor and they now have 6 bladed cartridges (5 for regular shaving and 1 for trimming) which is not needed.

Dude it's not very expensive. The only real investment is upfront costs and I was told yesterday that the Cadet Safety Razors performed great. Here's the link:

^ You'll want either the closed bar or open comb. Stay away from the TTO's (Twist To Open) because they're cheaply made and won't last and since you're new to wet shaving, I'd get the closed bar version. The open comb is a little bit more aggressive.

If you ever want to know how to master using a straight razor, shavette (straight that uses disposable blades) or a safety razor, then here's a simple and effective technique you can use to learn how. This works best if you use a balloon instead of a bag. What you do is take some of your shaving soap or cream and apply it by hand to an inflated balloon or bag and try to remove the soap or cream without the bag busting :

^ If the ballon or bag busts, you'll know that you've made a mistake. It should take you around 10 to 12 attempts before you can remove the soap or cream from the bag.

Dude it's not very expensive. The only real investment is upfront costs and I was told yesterday that the Cadet Safety Razors performed great. Here's the link:

Right on man. I guess you're enjoying epic shaves now. I know I am. I hot glued my brush back together this morning. The boar hair came lose from inside the handle. I'm thinking about going with the Merkur 37C slant bar if I can swing it.

As you all know, I can't use a folding straight razor due to nerve damage along with a few other injuries. However someone suggested that I try using a non folding Japanese style razor. So I did a search on youtube and found this video:

^ I'm going to try the razor he used in the video and see what happens. With a DE razor, you still have to get a proper angle to get a close and smooth shave. However the handle is smaller and located in a different spot compared to the traditional straight razor. The hard part is going to be not shaving for a week.

Mine does to. I found out why it does. Basically when we were shaving with cartridges, we were removing alot more than whiskers. We basically was sanding off the top layer of skin. That's why razor burn was a frequent occurance.

Used to shave maybe once a week.....now its 3 days.......

I shave every other day now, so with a DE I'll probably be shaving every day then. As long as I get a nice close shave, I could care less.

That sounds about right. You'll probably have a full beard in around 5 to 6 days give or take a little which is about the same rate I have.

L.O.L. The video was hilarious. That's what matters, a close and smooth shave that's comfortable and at a dirt cheap price. Gillette just came out with a new handle that looks like it came off of a Dyson vacum cleaner. They also have a 6 bladed cartridge out now which is useless.

I just placed an order for nearly $160 bucks over at Westcoast Shaving Supplies. I ordered this after seeing a couple of videos:

^ One of the videos that I saw on Youtube was with this razor and it looked as if it could be used like a safety razor. So I'm going to try it and see what happens. The folding handle is what got in the way with my Parker barber shavette and it's a bit too small.
