ive heard about that organization, we actually have a similar one here in michigan but they didnt really have what we were looking for. my wifes cousin told us about this breeder and they have a great reputation in there area as far as quality of dogs they breed, some of there dogs have become search and rescue, police dogs and drug dogs.
Yeah you have to really look at the dogs to get a feel for what you want. I love pups but its nice to get a dog that is already out of that puppy stage, but to each their own. My next dog i'll get as a puppy so i can train it the way i want. I've always grown up with dogs that have commands in german, so that other people can't tell a dog what to do.

Id have to disagree. Akitas are natural watch dogs...and they dont bark unless something is going down...Plus they arent as rowdy as german sheps.

Congrats on your pup, Id like to get one if I wasnt so lazy...They have too much energy for me.

I've thought about getting a German Shepard person, any thoughts?

Honestly, they're awesome dogs. My friend has 2 with some training.
