I have 152 lb injectors in it. Just to give you an idea of how big those are, I think my 2003 2.3 ranger has 17 lb injectors. The day that video was shot I just upgraded my fuel pump setup from 1 255liter/hour pump to 2 twin 255's so I was redialing in my fuel map and I didn't have enough timing. Trying to map even the AEM ECU I have with 152 lb injectors is like trying to fill a shot glass with a garden hose. With alcohol fuel (and gasoline) if the timing is too low it will flame out like that because the piston is too far on its way down if you play it too safe. I always start too safe because with alcohol you can't hear it "knock" like with gasoline - it just bends rods, blows out headgaskets and pushes all the parts. (I tune turbo cars for a living - done probably near 1000 of them this way) I just uploaded this one for effect, the 455whp or so was a pretty weak run for what the car is capable of at that time. I have a much bigger setup now.

Subaru's are my weapon of choice. I built 3 EJ25's this april alone. Alcohol is great because its more highly oxygenated than gasoline, and burns are a much lower temperature. You can advance the timing even past maximum break torque without causing it to knock. Alcohol has great knock resistance. No problem asking any questions: I am a professional AEM tuner - I'm used to it. I've been sent to shows in other states just to represent AEM.

Cool - by some of the posts above a few people on here sound like they could give you advice on tractor racing. Be careful who you listen too, but good luck.

Hate to tell you all, but a 2004 Cobalt SS, fully tuned--i.e., Stage 4--will beat the crap out of a Mustang, old or new. Reason? Because the tuning that the Cobalt SS got was from GM, all of it factory. Also, at Stage 3, the drivetrain is changed from FWD to RWD. GM estimated that the total HP that the Cobalt SS could've seen, at a full build, was 1200 HP, using pump gas (premium, of course...but still pump gas.)

Anyone know a Mustang that can put out that much power? Only car I ever heard of that could come close was a 1971 Cuda that put out 987 HP.
