There's a truck stop here that advertises their stuff in the can and you won't miss it. They have yet to put ads on the ass gaskets (for people that actually use public crappers, yuck). The buses here are rolling billboards. The benches at bus stops are billboards, I never thought I'd enjoy seeing tagging as much as I do on them. They even come door knocking, someone from the city council here was asking if I was aware of the proposal for "human rights"which I told her I was, and that I didn't care much for their proposal agenda that amounted to nothing more than guaranteed jobs for queers (the absolute truth, too).

Maybe someone will create a light setup for use in dentists offices that uses a hologram to display ads, that way you are forced to lay there and read it or close your eyes and think about nice things.

Shoot right past those commercials....

I almost never watch anything live anymore.

Hell, if something is on live, I'll go do something else on purpose just to watch it on my DVR after a few minutes - so I can just skip them alllllll.
I have DVR and use it a lot. I would be completely insane if I didnt have it.

If tv shows are that expensive, then how can Netflix afford to keep entire seasons of top rated tv shows and some movies on demand? Ad free for only $8 a month? If they can do that my cable bill should be about 2x that (benefit of the doubt). So $16 a month + 500 tons of ads you are almost forced to watch. Not even close to my last bill. Somehow this doesnt make sense to me...

You cannot hardly get on a website without there being ads down the side or across the top. Many will almost open themselves....

Tv is really bad too. Almost more commercial time than shows. There's even channels of nothing but commercials. While watching a show you will likely see the same ad more than once...

I understand normal radio. You don't pay to use it. However I pay good money every month for internet and tv and they have more ads by far....
there are ad blockers, and i want all TV online with those blockers in place.

Basically the advertising pays the bills and the cable company puts them up because they collect off them as well. One commercial can pay alot of people before it's even made and aired on national tv. It's also recession proof. That's why you see alot of people getting into advertising these days.
