Lol my tbird is on the column and so is my 150...console shift isn't all that bad

lol I had 3 trucks with the column, but I like the console shifter better, and everyone's been using it for years now, to the point that everyone's already moving to rotoray(dial) shifters like BMW, Dodge, Jaguar, I think Lexus and a bunch more.

I don't understand why they couldn't have put the Atlas tail lights and tailgate on the other models. The Atlas rear end looks sooo much better. I'm not a fan of those 2-tone Platinum tailgates at all.
The front end is nice but it reminds me of a Chevy.

I like the taillights better than the 09-14 but the tailgate will have to do some growing on me.

I like the lariat interior better, but that's just me. The rear end looks like crap and those tail lights suck. I really don't care where they put the shifter for an automatic tranny as long as they put one in there instead of just pushing a button like you do on some of the higher end models (BMW, Jag etc.) . Getting the ranger platform back is not going to happen. If they did bring it back what would it cost? If you added a V8 and certain trim packages and accessories to its line up, then it would proably cost more than an F150. At first I thought I wouldn't mind owning another ranger again after all I've had 3 of them. But after owning the Silverado 1500 WT for a year, I won't go back to a smaller truck for nothing. Ford switching to light weight aircraft aluminum bodies managed to gain 3 mpgs when they shaved 700 lbs off of it. Upfront that's not much, but when you pull out the calculator and compare it to what it was getting for an entire tank of fuel, then you'll see the difference. The designers can only do so much. It's the top executives that have no brains when it comes to designs. The designers have to sell it to them before anything even gets made.
